Kelly Beckner

Kelly Beckner graduated from Appalachian State University in December 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University in May 2003. She began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a non-profit speech and hearing clinic and practiced there for four and a half years. She then began practicing in the public school system, where she worked for ten years. She has experience working with children as young as one year of age into adulthood. Most of her experience is in pediatrics and she is proficient in evaluating and treating a wide range of communication delays and disorders, including articulation delay, phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, autism, developmental delays, word-finding disorders, stuttering, and more.

Bernie completed his Canine Good Citizen training in 2015. He has been a therapy dog through Pet Partners since 2015. He loves working with children of all ages. He is an expert in snuggling, playing, and listening.
